Hello everyone.  After my analysis of Group D this week, my cousin and I will be posting our picks for the best players by position that will be taking part in the Euro’s this Summer.  We will be selecting our 5 best forwards, midfielders, defenders, and 3 goalies.  Also, look out for my “European Transfer News and Notes” posts that will be coming out about once a week.  They will include major signings and rumors in what many people consider the most exciting time for European football…the Summer transfer window.  I will also dedicate a section to my beloved FC Barcelona, and analyze what is sure to be a busy Summer for the azulgrana.

Thanks for reading, and keep the comments coming.  We would love to hear what you have to say.

1. Pep Guardiola - May 27, 2008

I am happy to inform everyone that Futbol Club Barcelona is on a steep downhill slope after having been defeated by Madrid at home 1-0 and 4-1 in Madrid. It will take a couple of years for them recuperate mentally from such a disappointing season and to build up a powerful enough squad to take on rivals Real Madrid. However, i am no there to knock on Barcelona, i am here to predict the “red fury” to reach the finals against Italy. The Spanish squad has several young talents such as Torres and Fabregas, not to mention the best goalkeeper in the tournament. Nevertheless, i don’t want to jinx our opportunity, Spain needs to take it one game at a time and not worry so much about the critics picking them as favorites.

Madrid is undoubtedly the best

Thanks Jose David Parada lol. Madrid fans seem to have a short memory. It was only a few years ago that they were going through a period without a trophy for 4 years and had their fans giving Ronaldinho a standing ovation after a 3-0 thrashing at the Bernabeu. haha, But hey it is your turn to knock us as you did own us this year so I guess I’ll let it happen, although my man Pep Guardiola will have us back where we belong in no time. Now to Spain, I agree with you David “Michel Salgado” Parada, que viva Espana!
